Bob Brink's 1946 Half Ton |

| I just ran across your site and it is a very good one. I am
enclosing 2 pictures of my 46 DPB 1/2 ton. It isn't stock anymore since there was nothing
but a rusted cab and chassis when I found it. The cab and front sheet metal are stock but
I used a 55 bed since it seemed to match the cab belt bulge better than the stock one did.
I am ashamed to admit that it has a 383 Chrysler drive train but I have used it for 7 years pulling a race car trailer and have been pleased with the ride and dependability of the body. It still has the straight front axle and gives no problems so far. Thanks for having such a good site. I found from your site, mine was built in Baltimore in February but guess that must have been in 47 if they stared building the post war ones after May. Bob Brink Llda4046@aol.com |
